Swamplands

The Swamplands of central Latakar are treacherous places, yet ones full of wonder, if one looks past the dour exterior.

The Swamplands were, according to scholars, the epicenter of the Astral Conflict. Large parts of the ground there sunk into the earth, leading to the creation of the swamps. The Swamplands do not have any large population centers. Indeed, even constructing a single building in the swamps is a difficult endeavor, with the ground where one is building liable to collapse at any moment. For that reason, only small villages exist, usually builts on wooden platforms
